M tech in india after doing job or before job?

I don't understand why people come up with question "M tech in India after doing job or before job?" I don't see any kind of confusion in the answer of this question, because even if you are very much interested in research there are very few people who actually knows their field of interest so its not intelligent move for a normal student to take decision of doing research in any field. 


Its very critical decision because he has to do job only in that field,in most of the cases, so in short by choosing subject for research in M tech, is the field in which you are going to work most often.  

what i think is, first you should do job for some days in reputed company and see whether you are  really interested in research, by compare the life of researcher with corporate life of company, then the next step is find the subject in which you are really interested in. You will get this exposure from job and from corporate world.  Third step find the knowledge you needed to increase the level in the company 'this point also include the subjects, you are interested in and field in which you want to work'

 Then its time to give Gate, learn the subject you are interested in. :)
